Our 3rd Christmas

The day after Christmas we headed to Cole's grandparents house to have Christmas with his side of the family. The boys all really loved what we got Blake Jr., a tool set. Chloe enjoyed sitting in Grammie's lap to help her open her presents along with her own. Chloe received lots of goodies including: tap shoes, a new leotard, play dough set, a princess hair set, a night gown, books, a little mp3 player, a petshop cat, Dora backpack with instruments inside of it, and a stick horse. Coleman received a swing for outside, a ride on bulldozer, a dump truck for Mega blocks, a Clipo table, shoes, books, a shirt and socks, a high chair toy and a stick pony.

The Boys

Chloe's boys came over in the afternoon to open their presents. This year the Cousins gave books to each other. My mom got all of the boys these cute shirts and corduroy pants and she got Chloe this skirt and shirt. It is so hard to get a picture with everyone smiling at the same time!

My strong boy!

Coleman can go all the way up my parents' stairs by himself now. He also loves to stand up and look down (with someone holding him of course) and wave. My mom and I really believe that he waved and said hi yesterday. He also has gotten really good at standing. A few times he has stood for a few seconds without holding anything!

My cooking girl

For Chloe's Christmas my mom got her lots of cooking stuff. Two things that she was able to put in use that day were her silicone basting brush and whisk. She put butter on the rolls with her brush and with her whisk she whipped whipping cream. I was pretty shocked b/c she actually really whipped the cream. She is such a cooking girl. Some of her other cooking related gifts included: cookie mixes, Paula Deen's My First cookbook, 2 whisks, brush, rolling pin (pink of course), a baby that has an apron and cooking stuff, cookie scoop. I can't wait to get in the kitchen with her!

Our second time of opening presents was on Christmas morning at my mom's house. My mom of course never spoils us as you can see from the likes of the tree. She had a whole separate tree of gifts for my brother's family. It is hard to believe it was Coleman's first Christmas it just seems he has always been a part of our family. Chloe received in her stocking: soccer ball, toothbrush, toothpaste, tights, cars, Chick-fil-a and McDonalds gift cards, sunglasses, socks, gloves. Coleman received in his stocking: football, gum paste (since he has yet to receive any teeth), puffs, Chick-fil-a and McDonalds gift cards, mittens, airplane plate, socks. For gifts Chloe received Cooking box, duffel bag, doll, books and several board games. Coleman received a table to stand up at and play, books, outfit.

No Crying He Made

For our Christmas Eve service Coleman played baby Jesus so of course that meant that Cole and I were Mary and Joseph. He was a little bigger than a newborn, but he did awesome! I am also thinking he was a little fairer and blonder than our baby Savior. I am not sure why it looks like I have so much make-up on I am sure Mary looked just the same. Coleman was so sweet during the whole thing, he wanted to play with Cole's nose a lot! Chloe's role was an Angel in the audience. She wasn't really, but Cole tried to tell her that is what she would be doing.

Birthday Party

We went to a birthday party on Christmas Eve before church. It was really cute and sweet. The kids made cards for Jesus and then attached them to balloons to send to heaven. Cole had to engineer his daughter's card so that it would work the best, he says her went the highest. We like competition as you can see! Jerry read the Christmas story to the kids and then we had pizza and cake. It was so much fun! Thanks Jerry, Demie and Brennan.

Sunday School Crafts

I think most of you know I am Chloe's Sunday School teacher. I am always on the lookout for cute things to do with the class (so if anyone has any send them my way). I saw these cute baby Jesus dolls on Baby Bangs. I also traced the kids hands and made Christmas trees. I am sure Cheyenne (my co-teacher) was loving me after we had to cut out tons of hands!

Our Christmas Morning

Helping daddy. Daddy got: a trip to PA to see the Cowboys play the Steelers, a Cowboys shirt, Adidas slides and Cowboy golf balls.

We woke up and opened our gifts to one another. We had to wait for Mr. Coleman to wake up. Chloe received from us lots of books, bracelets and necklaces. In her stocking she got: a little doctor/dentist little people, panties, socks, goldfish, coloring book, crayons, little notebook, Dora band aids. Coleman received some books and in his stocking: puffs, yogurt melts, sunglasses, little fruits, little train, socks. Chloe was quite the helper in getting all of our gifts open too!

With our immediate family we celebrate Christmas the morning of Christmas eve, therefore the 23rd becomes our Christmas Eve. This year we had hot cocoa in front of the tree and thankfully there were no spills! Cole read the Christmas story to us. I tried to get Chloe to tell us parts of the story along the way and she did a great job! We then read some of her Christmas books. We left holiday Oreos and milk for Santa.
