Valentines
Well Valentines has come and gone and I am just now posting. We had a great little celebration. We had a MOPS playdate and the kids had a party. We made hats and then decorated cookies. I was going to make heart-shaped meatloaf for our little family celebration, but we had a change in dinner plans so the meatloaf came several days later. Looks a little scary! Our church did a fundraiser (childcare at church) so we got to go out on a date. We had a great dinner at Bonefish Grill-yummy! Cole and I make our own Valentine's gifts each year. This year he made me a jar of compliments and I made him some hot cocoa with heart shaped marshmallows. Next big celebration coming up Coleman's birthday and my favorite holiday-Easter!

Raincoats and black boots
We had a little rain on Monday so I thought I would let Chloe wear her new raincoat (only $10 at the Gymboree outlet) to ballet. She kept asking me if she could splash in some puddles, but by the time we left the puddles were pretty much non-existent. We did find a few which was to her delight! Her boots are not really rain boots, but they worked!

10 months
Dear Sweet Coleman,
10 months, really? How can it be? This has probably been the hardest month for me. It seems a lot has happened. We started the month out by going to your nine month check-up and your weight no even being on the charts. That started my heart panicking. When the Dr. said that you would need to have a sweat test to rule out CF I about went insane. The days of waiting to get the test done were pure agony. I was probably an emotional wreck. PTL that you did not have that! I switched you to formula and I am pretty sure immediately you started gaining weight. You also had your first ear infection this month. Poor little baby boy. Plus you finally started getting some teeth. The two bottom teeth are almost all the way out! So you have had a lot to deal with this month! But as usual you have been my little trooper. You are always so content in whatever situation. You remain my little smiley boy. This month you have stood a little on your own. You still love to cruise and even can push your car toy and walk with it. You have started eating tortillas, biscuits, waffles and even biter biscuits. I need to do a better job of giving you more table foods so we can stop messing with the baby food. You still like to snuggle your head into my neck which is one of my most favorite things in the whole world. You are still mommy’s little boy. I love how when someone tries to grab for you, you just turn your little head into my shoulder. Coleman this month has been tough, but I would not trade it for anything. I love every second I get to spend with you. Your smile is engraved into every thought I have. You are so much a part of me it hurts to think of anything ever being wrong with you little boy. I pray that God will always have His hand of protection over you. You little man are destined for great things! I love you with all of my heart!

I adore you!
Two
OneI completely forgot that I was just going to write about my baby girl turning three. Here are some pics to look back on. I need to post a pic of the day she was born though. I can hardly believe my little girl is three. Tonight she asked me to sing her a lullaby, I thought that was pretty sweet! Thinking of how sweet she is made me want to take a few moments and just blog about how much I love that girl! I hope in twenty years she will look back and say, "I am loved!". So here it goes little girly,
Dear Sweet Chloe,
You are three and I can hardly believe it. It seems like just yesterday we took the most nerve racking drive to bring you to our home. It was so scary knowing that we weren't just driving us, but we had the most precious cargo with us! Three years have flown by, you have done so much. You have made us laugh so much! One of the best things about this year is you became a big sister! You were created for this role. You are so sweet and loving to your big brother. I know you truly care about him and for that I am grateful. I love watching you interact with him and play with him. May you always be bonded to him! You also became a ballerina this past year. You get to put on your favorite color every week and dance! You are a pink princess! My favorite things you do in ballet are the Shoo-fly dance and when each dance is over how you yell out pose. You went on your first family vacation this year to Sea World. What fun and delight it was to see a familiar place in the eyes of a child. I hope I never get out of my mind the image of you riding the truck ride with your daddy. It was shear delight to watch you drive by me everytime you went around the track. I love that we got to go with our family to such a fun place! The saddest part of the last year was when you broke your leg. I was not sure once your cast was taken off if you would ever get the nerve to walk again, but finally you did. Still once in awhile you remind my that your leg is all better now. You are the best little talker. I could just sit and listen to you talk all day long. Tonight as we were singing You Are My Sunshine, I just laughed at the way you say Sunshine (I am going to have to tape that soon). You ask a lot of questions about God, which I love. You always want to know what He is up to, you want to know if He is happy or sad. I hope that this next year you will learn even more about Him and the great love He has for you! You are the biggest encourager. You are always saying the sweetest things to me like, "Mommy this dinner is delicious, you are a great cooker". You love to do anything artsy, esp. painting. We could do that everyday and you would be content. You also started going to preschool this year. Every Thursday Coleman and I miss you as go to your big girl school. You still are a great eater! I am so happy for that. You do like some weird things though for a 3 year old, like onions. You are allowing Mommy to do more things for you now, which I love! There are so many accomplishments I am proud of little girl, but most of all I am just so thankful that you are mine! Girl you are loved!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
West Texas
The night of Chloe's party my parents decided to go ahead and go back home. They were going to wake up extra early to go back, but just decided to go ahead. It was such a God-send, b/c about 10 minutes from their house my mom got a phone call that my grandfather was going to have emergency surgery. The next morning we found out that the doctor was pretty sure he had cancer. So, the kids and I headed to West Texas to see him. Little Coleman had yet to meet him so I wanted to make sure he did. Right now the reports say that he has cancer is several major organs and has a heart condition that could cause him to throw another blood clot. Please pray for him, he can't see an oncologist until his surgery wounds heal.
The Cooking Party
Beware there are a ton of photos.
Chloe's party was a cooking party. When I was little my mom had a party for me where we made our own pizzas, it was always one of the parties that stood out the most to me. Chloe loves to cook and so I thought this would be a ton of fun. We had about 14 kids and they all did great! I can't believe no melt downs or fits! On the menu: pizza, fruit kebabs, trail mix, cupcakes and pink punch! Thanks everyone for making it such a fun party!
day of birthday
We decided it might be easier for Chloe to open her presents from the family before the party. From her Gigi and Papa she got money for swimming lessons and a magna doodle. From her Grammie and Grandad she got money, a smart cycle game, an outfit. From her Maw Maw and Bubba she got money, a swimsuit cover up, flip flops, some clothes and of course they got Coleman a gift too-some shirts. She also got some My Little Ponies, a tent, dress-up stuff and a book from her cousins. We got her a Smart Cycle.
Birthday Night
From her Maw Maw and Bubba she got: pjs, a Diego art thing, some cooking supplies for her party, Dora fruit snacks. Coleman wasn't left out either he got a pair of pjs from Maw Maw and Bubba!
We went to Chick-fil-a for dinner per the birthday girl's request. For lunch we went to chili's so she could have mac and cheese (another request). They were so sweet at Chick-fil-a, they even gave her a little birthday gift.
Cupcakes for our dessert, I am sure you can guess who got the pink one. No cupcake was eaten, she just ate the frosting.

1st haircut
On Chloe's birthday, Maw Maw treated her to her very first salon haircut. I had trimmed her hair up before. I was so afraid she was going to freak out in the chair, so I had the backyardigans call her. They wanted her to know they were getting their haircut too. So in the midst of her haircut (she was pretty solemn the whole time) she perked up and told her hairdresser that the Backyardigans were getting their haircut too. I am not sure the 16 yr. old cutting her hair knew who they were. I can't believe I don't have a pic of the final result, but she sure did look cute. I really think she loved this experience! Oh and by the way every cartoon character known to Chloe called her that day to wish her a happy birthday.
Birthday morning
WARNING: There are going to be lots of pictures in the next few posts b/c someone turned 3! I love birthdays and so you can imagine any child of mine will not just have a day to celebrate, but as many days as possible. The morning of her birthday Chloe had chocolate chip muffins. She awoke to a special treat: Bubba and MawMaw!
