Here are pics of Coleman's tree in his room.

I thought it turned out cute!

Chloe and I were in Colemans room the other day and she told me she liked the coconuts on Coleman's tree. I told her they were called pine cones.

Then she told me in California they call pine cones oranges-random.

I made my first skirt for Chloe. I think it turned out pretty well and super easy! She needed a customized shirt to go with it, so I used this tutorial to make one! Now, I just need to make Coleman an argyle shirt maybe blue and green to match?

Chloe is such a little composer. She loves to make up her own songs. Most of her songs are very spiritual, she loves to sing about God. She is gearing up to be very charismatic:)

Well, the song she made up this Christmas was not quite as spiritual.

Christmas at our House

Chloe got what she has been asking for since July-an umbrella!

Chloe has been wearing these pj pants with her nightgown lately, not sure why?

I don't allow her to wear anything besides a nightgown usually b/c anytime she isn't wearing one, she usually wakes up in the middle of the night in hysterics wanting to change to a gown.

This little guy has to do whatever his sister is doing!

Cole and I debate about what should be on top of the tree.

I insist it must be an angel and Cole thinks it should be a star.

Coleman got out of his car to play with the calculator.

That was big time for him to get out of the car!!!

We ended up moving the car to the front of the couch b/c Coleman had no desire to open any other presents. Once we moved it he was more motivated to look at some other things and then get right back in his car.

The car has a radio and Coleman loves to push it and do a little dance.

We had a great Christmas morning!

My kids are so excited about the little things. Right now we are at a great age where things like Princess panties and $1 calculators are so awesome. To be a kid again!

After we opened our gifts we had pancakes and sausage.

Coleman took a nap, Cole ran errands and Chloe did art projects.

Then we had Fajitas, which I would be okay with if we did that every time for our own little families Christmas.

At night we went and looked at some more Christmas lights and popped in on the Currys.

What a great day!

Cookies for Santa

We left cookies for Santa on Friday night. He was making a pit stop to our house before the big night because Cole is having surgery on Monday. We wanted him to be coherent while the kids opened the gifts so we made special arrangements with Santa to come early.

I am very sorry Coleman that I forgot we needed to leave Santa cookies until after you went to bed. Chloe made this beautiful cookie at her friend Emma's birthday party.

We decided to leave him water b/c he likes that more than milk.

Saturday morning when she woke up we were in my bed while Cole went to run an errand. She asked if Santa ate her cookie. I said he did and left her a note, here is the rest of the conversation:

Chloe: Did he say I was naughty?

Me: No, you have been good this year.

Chloe: I went to timeout (which she had on Friday)

Me: Santa doesn't expect you to be perfect, no one is perfect

Chloe: You mean no one is perfect like me? (In a very astonished voice)

Santa on the Roof

Okay these pictures are out of order, but blogger is not my friend today! We had our second annual Santa on the Roof on Tuesday night. Santa actually got on the roof this year!!!! Santa did a fabulous job!

Christmas music program

Not sure why the pic of Coleman is in a weird color? This was what he did during the performance-the boy loves a microphone!

Chloe had her Christmas music program today at preschool.

Unfortunately, it was hard to get good pics b/c she was on the back row.

Dance party

Monday, Chloe had her dance party and parent observation day. Thankfully, Coleman went to work with daddy so mommy could take some pictures. We were a little worried about the gift exchange b/c Chloe did not want to give away her gift, but once we got to dance it was all just fine. Chloe got Princess dominoes. We have already played with them, it was a great gift for her to get. She had lots of sugar as well from all of the tasty treats. She did a couple of ballet and tap numbers. She is in her tutu, because I forgot to wash her skirt-oops!

The Christmas Train

On Saturday night we went to see the Christmas Train with some good friends! It was pretty cold and so we were all bundled up. My kids didn't really smile much, it wasn't b/c they were not enjoying themselves it was b/c I think their faces were frozen.

We rode a train which told the story of Jesus, rode on the carousel, enjoyed some cinnamon rolls and walked around the little town.

So glad we got to share this fun time with our friends!
