Coleman's 1st Birthday

Greece, Day 2

On our second day we spent the morning hiking up the highest point to overlook Athens. Not sure if you would consider it a mountain or a hill? It was a long, hot climb, but our group was awesome and no complaints. At the top we spent some time focusing on the people of Athens. After our hike we went and focused on the government and then the church.

Our next stop was the Parliament to pray for the government.

Our lunch, this was my favorite, Kabop.

Cole and I partaking in a favorite beach sport, paddle ball. The water was a little chilly, but so clear!

Dinner: greek salad, calamari (yuck) and I had a pork steak.

After dinner, we drove up to Poseidon's temple and watched the sunset.

Mars Hill, Day One

Our group. There were eleven of us and every person was so much fun. I never heard complaining the whole trip, and we walked so much that everyone was very tired. What troopers!

I fogot to include this in Day One. We went and set on Mars Hill and Cole gave us a short Bible Study. It is almost like an out of body experience sitting where Paul would have sat and being able to participate in study. Read Acts 17:16-34 for the Mars Hill acount.

Greece Trip Day One

We got to Athens around 10:30 in the morning on Sunday. We made our first stop to our hotel, which was quite nice. Not sure why I didn't take any pictures of it??? Once we dropped off our luggage, we made a pit stop to get Gyros for lunch and then headed to the Parthenon. Greek food is so good! I loved the Gyros, not sure I would want them in the states.

It is funny to see such famous ruins right in such a busy city. They are beautiful to look at and it is amazing how long they have been here.

Our first dinner at Mario's. It was very good. We had Greek Salad, Kebap (I think), hummus, tzitiki, and gelatto for dessert.

This is traditional Greek salad, no lettuce in Greece:)
