Sprinkler fun

We went outside the other night and let the kids play with the big ball sprinkler. We have had this for two years and never have had as much with it as we did this night. Coleman is all boy and loves anything sporty. He loves baseball even if he has to use his sister's girly bat. He loves to chase after balls and especially loves to throw them. He has a pretty good arm for a one year old! Oh by the way the thing in Coleman's ear was an earplug. He has had so many ear infections I thought I would try these, they lasted a very short time!

15 Months

As usual I am a little late with my blogging! Coleman turned 15 months old on the 8th. He is all over the place right now. He loves to climb. In fact he loves to climb on top of my dining room table:) He also loves to throw things away. I am always finding things in the trash that don't belong there. He still loves his sister! I am so glad that they seem to be such great friends. I pray that they will always be tight!

The new love of his life is his doggy. He is not attached to it, but still loves little Roscoe. He has a few words, but mostly just jabbers all day long. His words include: Mommy, daddy, Bubba, MawMaw, baby and ball. He sings and dances a lot! In fact he has joined his sissy on her stage and they both sing at the top of their lungs while dancing. My kids love to perform!

This month Coleman finally made it to the charts for his weight, PTL!!!! He is now in the 5th % weighing in at 20.2 lbs. and is 31 1/2 lbs. I still try to fatten him up as much as possible. I let him eat things I would never let Chloe have.

His disposition is just awesome. He is such a loving little boy, full of energy and cuddles. Everyday I look at him I am just amazed that God blessed me with this little guy!

Greece, Day 4

On day 4 we spent the majority of the day in our town Hellagros. We stayed with our little groups and walked around the town. Sandy, Cole and I went to Cole's favorite spot-the tennis club. For those of you who don't know Cole is an awesome tennis player. We had coffee while we watched some men play tennis. We met Sophia the barista. She let us borrow some rackets and play for a few minutes. I had never played on clay courts before.

Later that day the ladies did aerobics at the sports complex. For dinner we went back to downtown Athens and had dinner by some very noisy church bells. For dessert we had waffles with ice cream-YUM!!!!

Summer Readers

Branson

Cole and I took the kiddos to Branson last week. This was our first time to be just our little family unit on vacation. We had a really great time and the kids were awesome. Thanks to Grammie for letting us use her points to stay in a condo! The whole trip costs us about 55 dollars not counting gas. We went to a little timeshare presentation and got two free tickets to Silver Dollar City. Next time we go we will probably not eat out at all, we could not find any restaurants that were any good.

Watermelon Day

Today was Chloe's first day at Happy Camp. The theme for today was Watermelon day. She had such a great day! For dinner I decided to make this yummy watermelon drink that I saw in Southern Living.

Watermelon Agua Frescas

4 cups cubed watermelon

1/4 cup sugar ( I used less)

2 cups cold water

Blend melon and sugar in blender and then strain. Add water and refrigerate. Very yummy!

Coleman's 1st masterpiece

Today Coleman got to try painting today. Chloe, the crafty girl, was painting and Coleman so badly wanted to try. So, I let him do it until he stuck the brush in his mouth, notice the red lips. He was not very happy when his turn was over!

Greece, Day 3

On day three we went to our town of Hellagros. We broke off in groups and walked around town. My group was Cole, Sandy and myself. We went into the little mall and went into a coffee grounds shop. We met Helen there. She was very nice. I asked her about one of her products and we conversed about it back and forth awhile. Finally, I was going to buy it and she gave it to me. That would never happen in the US. The people in Greece are very generous. I then told her I had a gift for her. She said I didn't need to give her anything, but I had this book that was in Greek so I figured it would be better in her hands than mine. Funny enough she started reading it to me, it was a Christian tract, imagine that????

Later we met up with our entire group and had lunch, which funny enough was at Pizza Hut. The ladies then went to a traditional Greek dance class. It was fun, but very hard! If you know me you know I have no rhythm. Later we had Gyros for dinner and some yummy gelato for dessert.

VBS 2009

VBS was so great for our kids. Chloe & Coleman's favorite part of VBS was the last part each day when they were able to sing and dance with the big kids! Chloe was also extremely excited about the kangaroo that Jamie had to kiss. It was a great, great week!
