This week was picture day at dance class. I had to put on some make-up and I really do not looking at my little girl in make-up. She does however look super cute in her costume. I am praying that she actually dances at her recital.

This is not the best quality of a photo, but here is a picture of Coleman's black eye he got on Friday. It looked far worse! He somehow hit the ottoman.

Bragging

I am just going to brag on my girl for a second. The other day I went for a walk and came back to this beautiful artwork. I saw Chloe coloring it and asked her if daddy had helped her. She said no. I hate to say I second guessed her, but I did and went and asked Cole if he helped, he ssaid no. I could not believe how well she had done!

Show and Tell

My friend Holly manages her daughter's artwork by posting it on her blog, so I figured for the objects I couldn't really put in a book I would do the same. Last week she made this pet rock and today she made the fish bowl. They are studying animals all month. Coleman didn't want to be left out and wanted to pose with one of his new favorite things, his bouncy ball.

I decided to ask Chloe about her new pets. First I asked her how to take care of her new pet rock. Here is her answer ( in her words):

1. Put it outside

2. water it

3. give it much good soil

4. give it much good love!

Then I asked her how to take care of her pet fish:

1. By giving it much water

2. Taking care of it

3. Changing its water

4. Give it good love-give it 100 miles of good love!

Big Girl Bike

Chloe has had this bike since she turned one. We finally got it out and took a ride. She did great and she absolutely loves her knee pads. She's not to keen on the helmet, but I told her the police make us wear them so she is willing to wear it.

New dress

I made Chloe and baby Christy a new dress. I finally figured maybe if I make Chloe a matching dress for baby Christy then she would want to wear it. This is a variation of a pillowcase dress, but I like it better b/c the strings are attached to the dress. Maybe I will make another one and do a tutorial.

Coleman's real birthday

On Coleman's real birthday, the 8th we tried to do a little celebrating all day. We started with some banana bread with candles for breakfast. Sorry for the pink candle Coleman. At lunch we went to McDonalds and then went to the park to play. In the afternoon we went to a friend's birthday at a water park. After the birthday we came home and opened some gifts. From Bubba and Maw Maw he got a shape book. We got him a bowling set, which he loved! Cole's parents got him a pool toy. I love our little boy!

Today I took him for his two year check-up and am so glad we finally are doing good with the weight. He is in the 30th percentile, which is huge for us. He is in the 50th percentile for height. Way to go Coleman!!!!

Easter

So I am totally bummed about my Easter pictures. I hardly have any. My parents and brother and his family enjoyed Easter with us this year. Easter is the one holiday that we always have at our house. Which I LOVE!!! I love having things at my house and I love that I get to host my favorite holiday. Coleman looked so handsome in his outfit, but I took his shirt off when we ate and forgot about it when he went on the egg hunt. My mom made Chloe's dress this year which I thought was adorable! Poor Caleb was not feeling well, so my brother and his family ate quickly so they could get home.

I wanted to take a picture of our table because I used my new bird dishes, which were perfect for Easter. We had quite the feast. Since having Easter at my house we started a new tradition of having fried chicken for our meal. Thank goodness my mom is always willing to fry chicken for us! It is my all-time favorite meal!

Pet Show

Chloe's preschool had a pet show day last week. I thought it was something all the parents would go to, but I guess I was the only one who showed up. Chloe took one of her stuffed dogs. She seemed to be really shy when she got up there to talk, which is unlike her. I was really proud of her because the whole time while she was waiting for her turn to talk she sat so quietly. She didn't realize I was there at this point. So, I was glad to see how she was behaving when she didn't know I was around. Coleman had fun playing on the playground while waiting for Sister to finish the pet show.
