Baylor Homecoming

Here are a few pictures from homecoming, hopefully I will have some more soon. It was my 10 year reunion last weekend so my family headed to Waco for the day. Can it really be 10 years since I left? Walking around the campus it seemed like I had just left. It really is one of the most beautiful campuses around.

We enjoyed Dr. Pepper Hour, a weekly tradition at BU. Cole and the kids got to have their first Baylor DP float.

After the parade we walked around and then ate at Ninfas! I wish I would have had more time to walk around, but that just gives us an excuse to go back.

Pioneer Woman

I am not sure how I ever stumbled upon Pioneer Woman's blog, but I did and have loved seeing her recipes! I have been following it for awhile (Since Jan. 2007) and it is funny to see how popular she has become. She did a book signing yesterday so I went to stand in line for my autograph. Once I got up there I really didn't know what to say, so I really didn't say much of anything. Thanks Cheyenne for driving:) Ree, Pioneer Woman, is in this month's Southern Living as well.

Chloe loves to draw and color. She literally can sit for an hour and do this. She has really gotten into drawing people, crosses and finally writing her name. I don't care that it is not perfect, that the letters are not in the correct position or that she does not do lower case letters. It is so perfect to me and I could stare at these pictures all day long!

A few Chloeisms

Last night at church we had an appetizer dinner/fellowship. An older gentleman a couple tables away said, "I am on fire" (meaning his mouth was on fire). Chloe with her awesome hearing said, "Is someone on fire?".

Today I was trying to bribe Chloe to take some pictures for my photography homework. I told her she could pick out a piece of candy. She told me she wanted skeletons. I asked her if she meant skittles, and she said yes, Skittles.

Today as we were singing in the car some old VBS music, she asked me if Jesus and God were dancing. LOVE IT!!!!!!!

Pumpkin patch

I had yet to take my kids to a pumpkin patch this year, so today since it was in the 70s I decided to venture out. Also, I am trying to get my photography homework done so I thought I could kill 2 birds with one stone. Well, my second bird still needs to be killed! I am getting a little stressed about my homework. I can't seem to get the right shots!

This is all my kids want to do at a pumpkin patch. I am not sure that pumpkin patches are really just for taking cute pictures, not for getting dirty. Sorry to all of the people who are going to buy these pumpkins, my kids were just making them look more aged for you!

This is my pumpkin. I made another one that looks like an owl, but some dumb cat has been destroying it. If you know how much I hate cats then you will know how much this infuriates me!!!

Puzzle time

Chloe and I have been putting this monkey puzzle together lately. She received it for a Christmas gift when she was almost 2. We watched a Special Agent OSO Show (my fave) recently that reminded me that we even had the puzzle. This is one of the many things we have to add to our list of things we can do when Coleman is asleep. He likes to try and take it apart while we are working on it.

Happy 18 months! Here are 18 things I love about you (in no particular order).

Your sweet little voice puts a smile on my face. I could hear you jabber all day long!

I love your pout! The way your bottom lip sticks out always makes me smile because it is so cute.

You love to sing and perform! Give this boy a microphone and he will entertain!

I love the way you sit in my lap. Sometimes it is for 30 seconds and sometimes it is for 30 minutes. It is just such a cozy fit!

When I lean in and give you a little kiss and you always give me a little smile!

Your blue eyes melt my heart!

You love to give high fives and fist bumps, I love how you say boom now during the bump!

You love to throw a ball, and you are actually really good at it. Football, basketball, baseball it doesn't matter you love them all.

I love watching you snuggle with your blankie!

Something very recent that I love is when Chloe has started telling her knock-knock jokes, you start saying knock-knock over and over again! It puts a smile on my face.

You are my helping boy-you throw things away, empty the dishwasher and even put your toys away-be still my heart!

I love how you have started shaking your finger and saying no after I tell you no.

When you see something you want you start doing the please sign as fast as you possibly can.

You have started praying with us at dinner. Of all of the things I love about you, this is one of my favorites! You fold your sweet little hands and then when we say, "in Jesus name we pray" you say Amen.

You always want your shoes on. First thing in the morning you are trying to get your shoes on your feet, even if you have to put them over footed pjs. You even take naps in them!

As soon as you get into the bathroom you are asking for your toothbrush. You love to brush your teeth, I hope this habit leads to some healthy teeth!

You idolize your sister. Whatever she is doing you want to do!

And the number one reason I love you is because of who you are! You are so special to me, my life has been so blessed because of you! I love you sweet Colemanator!
