13 months

Poor sweet third child, you turned 13 months old on January 30th and I have no recollection of anything new you did. I am sorry that as the third child I just don't document you the way I should. I do know you took a few steps and we finally stopped the swaddling.

I also know that you continue to be such an awesome baby!

The only hard time we have with you is on

Wednesday nights when you would rather be in bed than church.

We love you so much sweet Clay!

Chloe turns 6

Chloe turned 6 on January 29th.

Because it was a Sunday we spent most of her day at church.

We woke up in the morning with doughnuts, went to church and then had lunch at a salad bar.

She chose the salad bar, and Cole tried desperately to get her to change her mind.

He's not a fan of the particular salad bar she chose.

She loved it!

After naps, we opened gifts and had cake before heading back up to church.

She received some clothes from Maw Maw and Bubba.

She got a book and a fairy Barbie from the brothers.

And Cole's parents went in with us to get her an "IPad".

Technically, it's not an IPad, but that is what she calls it.

Overall, I would say she had a pretty great birthday!

Last night as a 5 year old

Chloe's last sleep as a five year old.

How did she get so big so fast.

It seems like just yesterday we drove her home from the hospital.

I felt such responsibility with a new life in the car.

I was pretty much terrified the whole trip home.

This sweet girl is such a treasure.

In honor of being six, here are six things about my birthday girl:

6-She is an artist! She loves to create. She will typically wake up and start her drawing and crafting. She loves to upcycle and create one of a kind master pieces.

She also loves to make books. She usually brings books home from school that she has made all on her own. I can usually find the word mom on it. She loves to write this word!

5-She is a girly girl. She loves to twirl, play with her hair, dress-up, get fancy and always loves to take a purse with her wherever she goes. I think if I let her she would wear high heels and put on make-up everyday. Don't worry we don't do that!!!!

4-Little mother hen!

She loves to help her baby brother out. She is very helpful and good with him.

She also is still a great mom to baby Christy.

She and Coleman love to play baby/mommy. I love that Coleman will play with her.

They really do play well together. Of course, they have an occasional spat, but those really are few and far between.

3-Apparently at school she is quite the mini-teacher. The office staff and other teachers know her. She is always filling in for her teacher when she needs it! LOL!!!

She helps a little boy who sits by the teacher do his work and get on track with his behavior.

I would love to be a fly on the wall of that classroom.

Maybe next year at school she will do a little more learning, and a little less teaching.

2-My little girl is still little. I love the fact that she plays with baby dolls and loves Elmo. She thinks Elmo is a bit babyish, but she still loves him the same.

She will still let me love on her and she lets me hold her home (even at school).

I love the fact that she is still my little girl.

1-Chloe is beautiful.

Not only is she just stunning on the outside, she radiates on the inside as well.

She loves others and is tenderhearted.

If I ask her to make a new friend feel welcome at church, she always is quick to oblige.

I love this brown-eyed beauty who is quickly growing before my very eyes!

Chloe's Art Party

Chloe had her birthday party a little before her actual birthday this year.

Since she does one thing almost all the time we thought we would give her an art party.

She loves art!

I tried to keep this party small, so we only invited a few of Chloe's aged friends.

I think it was a fun day for our sweet girl!

The party favors!

They each got an art bag with crayons, paper and a cute pencil.

The girls did three art projects.

While we were waiting for all of our friends to come we made self portraits.

After everyone showed up we stamped a mini-canvas with pencil erasers

and made bouquets with paper flowers.

This was a quiet party at the beginning because all of the girls were busy crafting.

In some Coleman related art news,

in the past few months he has started drawing people

and coloring in the lines!

I finally made a rainbow layered cake.

There was a lot of sugar!

I wish I would have taken a picture of the drinks.

I made koolaid flavored ice cubes and then poured sprite over them.

Before it started melting, it was really colorful.

Plus I had candy on the table for the kids to enjoy!

Chloe loves gifts!

She also enjoyed having an audience.

My mom got this journal for Chloe.

Clay's 1 Year Stats

I would never have let my first born sit on the floor of a doctor's office.

The third child, gets to do almost anything!

We actually have a great doctor with a really clean office!

Clay was a champ at his one year check-up.

When this kids gets his shots, he literally cries for half a second and then is done.

Such a big boy!!!!

I really want to take some pictures of him and then I have a one year post for him.

Clay turned 1 on Friday, December 30th

Waking up, happy boy!

We had his party while we were visiting family in Dallas.

Thanks to pinterest I got some food ideas, like these cupcakes.

I also made guacamole into a football field.

The cousins did a football toss.

Everyone had the opportunity to wear "eye black" in support of Clay's birthday.

It didn't feel good when they came off.

If we lived closer Charlie's mother and I would force them to be great friends.
