Mr. Clay

I have not been good about taking pictures of Clay. Usually when he is doing something cute, I don't have my camera handy. Yesterday he was playing on his mat and started hitting the toys. As soon as I ran to get my camera he started getting fussy. Today I put him in his car seat and he was just laughing so much. Then again I ran to get my camera and the smiles were gone!

Twas the night before Valentine's day

And we had to have some heart shaped pizza.

I burned the pan it cooks on, but thankfully not the pizza.

He is also getting a pair of jeans, but he wore those today.

Chloe and I had fun making this house that Grammie sent us.

Yesterday, it was just me and my two favorite little boys!

My sweet friend Holly came and took Chloe to a birthday party-major thanks!

I was holding Clay and I noticed that Coleman needed a diaper change.

Yes, he is almost three and still in diapers.

No, he is not ready for the potty.

Trust me I have tried!!!

Back to my story, I had baby Clay in my arms and was holding Coleman's hand walking to the diaper changing table. I love that Coleman will even walk in the house and hold my hand!

As we got off the carpet onto the wood floor, I noticed I heard a different noise.

I looked down and Coleman had on sissy's pink shoes.

I couldn't stop laughing.

After the diaper changing we had to play a little basketball.

If you have pink shoes on you just have to play some ball!

And yes he's wearing pj pants with his shirt.

Not to brag, but Coleman is actually pretty good with a ball.

He can dribble, bounce pass and make quite a few baskets.

His brown mimi (blanket) can't be far from his side!

Sporty Snowman

Cole took the kids out to play in the snow again!

They needed to make yet another snowman, but this time he's a bit sporty!

My sports obsessed 2 year old and 32 year old loved it!

On Friday, we had our neighbor watch Clay so we could all go sledding.

It was fun!

Chloe didn't want to go at first, but I really wanted her to go with us, so I bribed her.

First, I told her I'll give you a quarter if you go.

She said no.

Then, I said how about two quarters.

She said yes!

And she loved it.

Coleman did not need bribing-my dare devil!

I tried to take some pics of my lil quarterback on Sunday,

but he really did not want to cooperate.

I have a feeling I am raising quarterbacks here, not linebackers!

1 month

These pics are not great, but I have to at least document Mr. Clay turning one month!

He did not want to help me in any way!!!

One month has come and gone in the blink of an eye.

For the first three weeks of Clay's life he probably cried only a handful of times.

He has amazing head and neck control.

He loves to be held.

He loves the sound of water

Loves his bouncy seat.

We still are not sure what his hair color and eye color are going to turn out to be.

Right now he has light brown hair and grey eyes.

Happy 1 month!

more celebrating

Poor Chloe was sick the week before her birthday, so the week of we really didn't get to do a ton of celebrating. On Friday night Cole's family came up and we took Chloe out for a pre-birthday dinner. We asked where she wanted to eat and she said Mexican. The place where they sing to you and put a sombrero on your head. So, that is where we went. I think she wasn't really feeling well as dinner progressed, plus she hadn't had a nap.

Yes my five year old still naps-PTL!!!!

Throughout dinner she wanted us to keep reminding the waitress that it was her birthday and not to forget to sing to her! Well, when it was time for the big birthday song Chloe did not want the sombrero on her head-big surprise.

After her party we took rests and then went to the park.

For dinner we had Chloe's very favorite dinner-PeiWei.

Maw Maw and Bubba spent Saturday evening with us to help celebrate our five year old.

Since Chloe could understand what gum was I told her she would have to wait till she was five to be able to have gum. Sure I have given her a few pieces here and there, but when she turned five she could become a gum chewer. So for her birthday cake she wanted a chocolate cake with gum balls on it.

We got her five gifts for her birthday: hula skirt, a ring, a bracelet, gum shirt and gum!

MawMaw and Bubba got her this great Princess book and Bible study-such a great book on teaching purity. They also got her a TAG reading system with a bunch of books.

Clay and Coleman didn't get left out either!

Chloe turned 5 on Saturday the 29th!

I can't believe my little girl is already 5.

Right after her birthday last year I talked her into having a pajama party for her 5th birthday.

I saw the cutest pajama party that my friend Karen had thrown for her son,

so I had to of course copy it.

Several years ago I saw the idea of making a table into a bed for a party.

I have been waiting to use this idea for forever.

I did use the idea for one of my dearest friends a couple of years ago for a bachelorette party.

Before our breakfast Chloe said a prayer, so sweet.

After breakfast we headed into the living room to lay on sleeping bags.

We had a few night time stories.

I told the girls they would have to go to sleep, and one little girl thought I was serious.
