Sweet Tooth

Clay has a mouthful of teeth!

I think every tooth in that mouth is a sweet tooth.

DMA

On Tuesday we went to the Dallas Museum of Art for kids Day.

The theme of the day was Summer.

We saw the cutest Marionette show, and then Chloe got to try.

We made sculptures, played, looked at art, and made bubble art:

We had such a fun time!

The first Tuesday of each month in the summer is free!

If I lived in Dallas I would definitely become a DMA member, it was a lot of fun!

Time with the Grandparents

After Waco, we headed back to the MidCities and had dinner with Cole's family.

Suspension Bridge

After our lunch at Ninfas, we headed to the Suspension Bridge to take some photos!

Clay fell when we got there, that is why is forehead is red.

He wanted to go where he wanted to go. 

There are openings in the bottom of the bridge, I was a nervous wreck!

He was melting down, we didn't last long.

Little Baylor Bears

I decided while I was in Texas I really wanted to go to Baylor.

It is not that far away for a day trip.

 Coleman was loving watching the bears.

This bear even came right up to the kids!

 Clay was desperately trying to keep up!

 They would have loved it if I would have let them swing for hours!

Unfortunately, it was getting hot!!!

After our campus tour we went to the Spirit Shop and then to Ninfas!

Cupcake Wars

Every Sunday night we watch the show Cupcake wars!

My kids love it.

We have been planning our own version for quite some time, so we decided we would have the competition with our cousins.

Lots of cupcakes to decorate:

We had teams (sort of)

Everyone decorated one to turn in for the competition, and then one to eat.

Uncle Michael made a cookie monster cupcake for Caleb:

Chloe and Sam won for most original.

Coleman, Josh and Drew won for most creative.

We ate a lot of cupcakes that night!!!!

Awana's End of the Year Celebration

Awanas is over for the year and this Spark got her award!

After the awards, we had a little surprise reception for Cole.

Coleman wore his soccer medal since Chloe would be getting an award, never one to feel left out!

 We had made these posters for the graduation and held them up when he graduated!

Kindergarten year in review

I can't believe how fast Kindergarten flew by.

It seemed like just yesterday I sat on my porch and took this picture of my little girl going off to school for the first time. Then after two hours having a total melt down about her being away from me for the whole day. It didn't help that she had a sub and that her school was on lock down.

The year got better.

She continued to love making lots of art before and after school.

She got her first ever report card:

She played her first ever sport-basketball!

She was a super defender!

Big girl turned 6!

Had her art displayed for at the District art fair:

And her school musical:

Was her teacher's assistant.

Seriously, the school secretary told me that Chloe is known through out the school as being the classroom assistant. She answered the phones, helped students, ran errands, cleaned the room, etc. . .

Last day of school!

She wanted to wear the same dress she wore the first day of school.

After a rocky beginning to the year, this girl ended up loving school!

Now, I have a big first grader!
